What is Database Relation?
You know that the word relation means relationship. This relationship can be of different types. Like a kind of relationship between father and mother. Another type of relationship is with parents and children. Again, different types of relationships can be developed with students of one class and students of another class. In this way, different relationships are formed between different classes of people in the society. Similarly, relationships can be created between different types of data included in the database. Basically, database relation refers to the relationship between data in one data table and data in another data table within the database. We construct different data tables to store different types of data. A separate and new table can be created with the required data by establishing relationships between the data tables. A database composed of relational data tables is called a relational database. In a relational database, the data of two or more tables can be easily displayed together in the form of reports by formulating queries, dharma, reports etc. on the data tables. In relational database management system, database management can be done with several files or tables at the same time.
